Art Hamptons Announces Host Committee



The Opening Night Preview of Art Hamptons taking place on Thursday, June 23 at 5pm will benefit LongHouse Reserve of East Hampton, and the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation. The inaugural Host Committee will be co-chaired by Jack Lenor Larsen, internationally regarded textile designer, author, collector and one of the world's foremost advocates of traditional and contemporary crafts, with Maria and Kenneth Fishelwho are integral supporters of the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation's mission to eradicate cancer and fund the vanguard of life-extending research.

Members of this year’s illustrious Host Committee include influential curators, collectors, designers and Hamptonites. As the region’s original and longest-running art fair, Art Hamptons will kick off the summer season, returning to Bridgehampton for its 9th edition, June 23 - 26, 2016. The fair is set to present a series of VIP events, special programming, and panel discussions, as well as a selection of leading galleries from the US and around the world, showcasing work from emerging artists and modern masters alike.

About Maria and Kenneth Fishel

True patrons of the arts and champions of health research philanthropy, Maria and Kenneth Fishel host Art Hamptons for the second consecutive year. Maria Fishel is a tireless fundraiser and arts advocate. Kenneth Fishel is the CEO of Renaissance Properties. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation.

About Jack Lenor Larsen

An internationally recognized textile designer, author, and collector, Jack Lenor Larsen is one of the world's foremost advocates of traditional and contemporary crafts and one of four Americans ever to be honored with an exhibition in the Palais du Louvre. His home, LongHouse, located on 16 acres in East Hampton, NY, and inspired by the famous Japanese shrine at Ise, was built as a case study in creative approach to contemporary life and designed landscape as an art form.
