Hampton Classic Announces New Suncast® International Stabling Area

Hampton Classic Announces New Suncast®
International Stabling Area
Enhanced Stabling to Provide More Space and Comfort
for Horses in FEI Classes

Bridgehampton, NY - May 19, 2014 - The Hampton Classic Horse Show is pleased to announce the Suncast® International Stabling Area, a new stabling area with expanded space and improved comfort for horses competing in the Classic's three FEI-sanctioned classes.

The Hampton Classic Horse Show returns to Bridgehampton, NY, August 24-31, for its 39th year of world-class equestrian competition. The Hampton Classic features more than 100 classes of competition including jumper, hunter, equitation, short stirrup and leadline classes, as well as competitions for riders with disabilities.

Last year for the first time, the Hampton Classic schedule featured an FEI-recognized Grand Prix on three consecutive days. This led to an increase in the number of horses entering the Classic's international classes which prompted the Classic to provide its new expanded and improved stabling area.

"When Longines came on board as a new partner of the Hampton Classic last year, they suggested that we make our Saturday Grand Prix an FEI class in addition to the FEI classes we were already offering on Friday and Sunday," said Shanette Cohen, Executive Director of the Hampton Classic. "When we did that, we quickly saw an increase in the number of horses in our international classes which necessitated a new, expanded stabling area to accommodate them. We thank Suncast for joining with us to provide what we feel will be a comfortable home for horses competing in our international classes."

The Classic's line-up of FEI-sanctioned classes includes the $50,000 Grand Prix Qualifier Presented by Longines on Friday, the $40,000 Longines Cup on Saturday, andSunday's $250,000 Grand Prix and FEI World Cup™ Qualifier, a qualifying competition for the 2015 Longines FEI World Cup Final in Las Vegas next April. Horses competing in these classes will be stabled in the new Suncast® International Stabling Area which will feature larger stalls (11'2"x11'2"), a limited number of standard-size tack and grooming stalls (9'4"x9'4") and a hospitality area with complimentary snacks and beverages for the culminating days of the Classic, Thursday-Sunday, August 28-31.

"We are thrilled to join with the Hampton Classic in providing an enhanced stabling area for horses competing in the Classic's international classes," said Suncast® CEO Tom Tisbo. "The Hampton Classic is truly a world-class horse show and we are proud to be associated with its new world-class stabling area for its international horses."

The previous international stabling area, featuring standard-size stalls in a tent with no poles, will now be "Premier Stabling" and available to exhibitors on request subject to availability.

"We are constantly striving to improve the Hampton Classic in every way we can," said Cohen. "We think that all the improvements we are making this year will be well received and we thank Suncast® and everyone else who contributes to our efforts to make the Classic a horse show that ranks among the best in the world!"
