Silicon Valley Contemporary Announces Exhibitors


March 18, 2014 (San Jose, CA) -- Silicon Valley Contemporary is pleased to announce exhibitors for the inaugural, 2014 art fair. The contemporary art fair will present an international selection of 50 exhibitors from 8 countries including Austria, Canada, Germany, Israel, Spain, South Korea, and the United Kingdom. The first art fair for the Valley aims to connect select international exhibitors with collectors and art enthusiasts in the heart of the tech world. Silicon Valley Contemporary takes place Thursday, April 10th through Sunday, April 13th at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center.

In an effort to inspire a new collector engaged with technology, Silicon Valley Contemporary is excited to highlight artists bridging the worlds of art and tech through science and innovation. Kent Fine Art LLC will show work by Paul Laffoley, a leading “transdiscplinary artist” of today, and The Hole will present legendary artist Katsu’s new series of large-scale abstract Drone produced paintings. In the Moving Image Experience video pavillion curated by Paul Young, leading new media artists will be shown in a flat screen only presentation outside of the usual gallery booths, by exhibitors including Marianne Boesky Gallery,Fleisher/Ollman Gallery and Christopher Grimes Gallery. The vetted selection of international exhibitors ensures fair-goers experience the most relevant and cutting edge works in contemporary art today, giving new collectors the opportunity to discover artists working at the intersection of art and technology.
