Come see my latest work

After seeing Augustine Kofie's show at White Walls gallery in San Francisco, I thought I would challenge myself to bring my free-flowing angular abstract work into a structured system similar to Kofie's work.  The basic premise is to strengthen the movement of line and how shape interacts.  My work is a bit more chaotic and sharp angular shape while focusing less on the singular focal point.

Currently, I have 12 mini paintings finished in the studio and this 12 x 24 inch painting finished.  As I speak I am painting another large 24 x 48 inch painting for my house, but I may be open to selling it as well.

The show is called "Three Free Spirits" dedicated to three artists at the gallery.  Below is a detail of their work as well.

Kim Bass
She has lived and worked in California all of her life, and graduated from the University of CA East Bay Campus with a degree in Liberal Arts. She is  largely a self taught and experiential artist. She is continually trying to master a complicated process involving resins, oils, acrylics, paper, photography, metals and natural objects that are contained within my art.

Recently, she has been exploring birds series that she originally painted in Hawaii.

Gera Hasse
She has been painting ceramics for 10+ years and was her  original love in art.  In this show she is exploring themes of Christmas as well as birdlife in the Bay Area. She ran two galleries previously over 20 years in fine arts and limited edition prints.

Hallie Strock
Hallie Strock is a graduate of Mills College, in Oakland, CA, with a BA in studio art. Her work, now focused on water-based media and textile arts, hangs in a number of private collections in the United States, and has won significant awards in local and regional juried exhibitions in California. Hallie is a member of the Oakland Art Association.

The work in this show will feature quilts and recent acrylic paintings, as well as relief and intaglio prints
