WHAT:   Des Moines Arts Festival®

Downtown Des Moines' Western Gateway Park surrounding the John
             and Mary Pappajohn Sculpture Park  
  
WHEN:    June 22-24, 2012 
              Friday, 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.
              Saturday, 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.
              Sunday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  

           
NOTEWORTHY:

*Annual attendance in excess of 225,000.
*Promotion of the event to the art-buying public in newspapers, online, radio, earned media, billboards, magazines, social media, and collateral valued at over $780,000.

*Total Cash Awards for Best of Show, Merit and Juror awards valued at $10,000. All awards include an automatic invitation to the 2013 show.

*Jury/Booth fees are $25/$375 for a single booth, $475 for corner, doubles available to artist juried in two mediums.

*Artist amenities include color thumbnail in program, color thumbnail with contact information and links on website Artist Gallery, Wi-Fi throughout site, reserved parking, air-conditioned restrooms, 24-hour security, electric, booth sitting, cold water coolers stationed behind artist tents, snacks, leisurely set-up.

*Booth Space is 10'x10' with 1' buffer and plenty of storage space.   
  
*Artist's presence is required.    
 
  
The City of Des Moines invites you to be part of the award-winning Des Moines Arts Festival® (DMAF) on June 22-24, 2012.  DMAF is one of the nation's most respected arts events hosting 185 of the nation's top artists in a beautiful urban setting surrounding the 4.4 acre John and Mary Pappajohn Sculpture Park.  The outdoor Festival of arts and culture attracts more than 225,000 people each year to its downtown location in Iowa's capital city and largest metropolitan area.  DMAF is a show dedicated to the highest standards and works diligently to maintain a positive environment for artists and their clients.  DMAF is a non-profit organization founded by the Des Moines Art Center.  Festival proceeds, if any, benefit the Des Moines Art Center, numerous area non-profit organizations and the continuation of the DMAF. 


NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS:

Deadline:  October 31, 2011  12:59:59PM CST
   
Jury:  Nov. 16-18, 2011 in Des Moines (portions open to the public)

Notification Emailed:  December 2, 2011

Booth fee due:  January 13, 2012

Refund Deadline:  March 14, 2012
